Why Medsplain TX exists

My friends have been sending me medical reports - their own, their family members, etc. - since I was just a medical student. Many years ago, I thought I could create some kind of database of my answers (explaining diabetes, lab results, etc.), but I shelved the idea due to the inherent cost of creating something like that.

Fast forward to AI and LLMs. I thought maybe I could finally create something with AI that would fulfill this need for my family and friends and perhaps help others, too. This birthed Medsplain TX: an AI-powered tool that will TRANSLATE (without diagnosing) medical jargon into plain English, so you can understand what your medical report is trying to say.
