These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Medsplain mobile and web application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by Medsplain ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Medsplain provides an educational service that allows users to submit medical text or reports and receive a simplified summary in plain language.
The Platform does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Platform. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information and to maintain the security of your credentials.
You are responsible for all activities under your account. Unauthorized use of another person's account is prohibited.
We process uploaded reports to generate simplified summaries.
We do not store the original report of text or medical data after processing, except for limited metadata such as file identifiers or timestamps necessary for system operation, auditing, or analytics.
All processing occurs securely and automatically; metadata is retained only as long as operationally required.
You agree not to:
All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including software, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, belong to Medsplain or its licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.
Medsplain does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.
All summaries and simplified texts generated by Medsplain are for educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical consultation, diagnosis, or treatment.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medsplain and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Platform.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) to use the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter where liability cannot be excluded under law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, if you breach these Terms or misuse the service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ends immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, United States, unless local consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware, USA.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be effective when posted on our Platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
